This album contains all of the music from episode 2 of my podcast, "Improvisations On the Ledge." Basically, it' two pieces of music—Another Trip Around the Sun and Auld Lange Syne—presented in two different ways. The first and last tracks are exactly the same. Since the tune is so short, I figured you should hear it twice in the context of the album.

The improv on "Another Trip Around the Sun" is quite extended—but it adheres pretty tightly to the themes of the tune. I improvised with the dialog between D-Cubed and me in my headphones, so it's kind of programmatic in that sense. But it feels like a standalone piece of music, even if it appears under that dialog in the episode.

Same goes for the "Dirge On Auld Lange Syne": improvised under the dialog.
