This is from the premiere of the Revolution Ensemble in May of 1998. I wrote this orchestral suite specifically for this group—what I described then (and now, I suppose) as a Hybrid Orchestra: it consists of traditional orchestral instruments (like string and winds) along with saxophone, electric guitar and bass, and drum set.
