about

This is a bit of ersatz blues from the New Peter Zak Demos sessions. Yes, it’s kind of a ridiculous lyric, but it’s supposed to be. I make that qualification because I remember an industry guy at a song-pitching session in L.A. 20 years ago (1989) making a comment to the effect that the songs seems to be trying to be a deep bluesy feel, but then it comes off kind of light. In fact, as the title and lyrics suggest, it is meant to be somewhat tounge-in-cheek. But I can understand how, out of context, someone may take it the wrong way.

Take note of the reference to “Mr. Morality” at the end of the track. (You’ll have to listen to Mr. Morality to take note.)

lyrics

I’m here all alone
I don’t know what to do
Found out that your were gone
Now I Got The Blues

Chorus:
But I still want you
And I still need you
I hope you want me to
But I don’t think you understand
What I’m going through

You through me a curve
I hit it straight back to you
I don’t know what that means
Maybe I’m just a fool

(Chorus)

I need some help from above
So what else is knew
Caught inside this dream of your love
Caught in a web spun by you

(Chorus)

I’m here all alone
I don’t know what to do
Found out that your were gone
Now I Got The Blues
